a newsletter on data journalism and woodworking

Hello! I put this out on twitter semi-jokingly and got a much greater response than I was expecting so I figured why not? So databae.substack.com is going to be the home of a weekly newsletter the will discuss my two greatest passions (and jobs): data journalism and woodworking. While the subjects will more often than not occupy seperate spaces in the newsletter, I find there to be a lot of overlap between the two and want to share what I have learned about one from the other. I’ll share things I’m working on (mostly in the woodshop) and things that I’ve completed, but I’ll also share work from others that I really admire and will hopefully include some insight from them on how those tables were built. With that, I hope you’ll consider subscribing (and maybe contributing if you fall in either of these camps) and I hope that you’ll enjoy. I like building tables, regardless of medium. I know I’m not alone.
